ARTIST STATEMENT

CONCEPT

The theme I pursue is called ‘Relief and Reproduction of a Soul’
and is based on the philosophy of alchemy and the psychology of
Carl Gustav Jung.
My concept assumes this graphic by making archetypal pictures and
my plan is the activation of racial unconscious –
something which is within all of us and common to all humankind.
When I paint ‘darkness’ I paint sorrow and despair.
It rises from my expression of peoples’ weakness –
not a purposeful expression of violence or cruelty,
and is for this purpose: I accuse reality to its depths
and express this in my original images, and thereby bestow sympathy
to give relief to people suffering sorrow and despair.
You are not alone.

PHILOSOPHY

Oil painting creation for me is my OPUS, which [for me] is like
the work of an alchemist.
・My images are an active drop into unconsciousness from consciousness.
・My passive images invoke a rise to unconscious consciousness.
・They are the materialization of a mental image of transformation
through a fight between consciousness and unconsciousness.
